As the year 2020 came to a close, the racing game category on Android saw some interesting trends in Europe. Data from Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of how the top racing titles performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Starting with CSR 2 Realistic Drag Racing, published by Zynga, we observed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 93K in the last week of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, growing from 260K to over 407K by year's end.

Nintendo Co., Ltd.'s Mario Kart Tour also experienced a surge in downloads, reaching 271K in the first week of October and concluding the quarter with 110K downloads. Active users saw an apex of 1.45M in early October, maintaining over 1M weekly active users throughout the quarter.

ELECTRONIC ARTS' Need for Speed™ No Limits saw a consistent level of downloads, with a high point of 159K in the final week of December. The game's active users showed a rebound from 537K mid-quarter to 711K towards the end of December.

Gameloft SE's Asphalt 9: Legends maintained steady download numbers above 100K for most weeks, ending the quarter with nearly 148K downloads. The game's active users exhibited growth in the latter weeks, reaching over 314K by the quarter's close.

Lastly, another title from ELECTRONIC ARTS, Real Racing 3, showed a consistent increase in downloads, from 85K to over 134K, alongside a rise in active users from 600K to over 705K by the end of December.
